The spring pavilion is a reminder of King Ludwig I and the pavilion built under his direction in 1826 over what was then known as the Stahlquelle. The fountain stone inside the glazed steel support structure, modeled on the royal crown, was created by the Lower Franconian artist Norbert Kleinlein and made of granite. In the pavilion, visitors can acoustically familiarize themselves with the architectural history of the Staatsbad or relax and indulge in Handel’s “Water Music”.
