The medicinal springs

Bad Brückenau is a popular health resort thanks to its five medicinal springs. The various compositions of ingredients contribute to a positive recovery from numerous clinical symptoms. The best-known among them is the King Ludwig I Spring, which, as the name suggests, was frequently visited by King Ludwig I. Another very popular spring is the exceedingly palatable Sinnberg Spring which, thanks to its increased mineralisation and much natural carbon dioxide, is also called “Bad Brückenau Champagne”. It is no secret that these waters are particularly valuable for the health; after all, they contain lots of minerals and trace elements. But are they all-rounders? Fountains of youth, natural aids to memory and at the same time slimming agents? Try our five medicinal waters in the medicinal spring lounge in the State Spa in Bad Brückenau; we are curious to hear what you think!
Pure nature

When lush meadows and green fields sleep under the thick blanket of morning mist, cows and Rhön sheep slowly awaken and the cock crows its morning greeting to his court of hens, this is the world surrounding the State Spa. Bad Brückenau is situated in the middle of the Rhön biosphere reserve, surrounded by woods and meadows. The most beautiful hiking trails around the town begin right on your host’s doorstep. Moreover, if you follow the blue signs of the Rhön natural park, you can find an enormous network of routes extending over several hundred kilometres, or you can even take the “Hochrhöner”, an award-winning premium hiking trail.
The sights

The Castle Park, with its impressive plants and the fairytale ensemble of buildings, forms the centre of Bad Brückenau State Spa. Elegant villas contrast with dreamy pavilions and magnificent structures. However, Bad Brückenau State Spa is not only historically playful: the new medicinal spring lounge radiates in modern architecture yet still fits harmoniously into the overall picture. The Kursaal building is the visiting card of the spa resort. The classical hall design will impress you, from inside as well as from outside. Today the building is the cultural centre of the State Spa: concert events, theatre performances and also balls take place there. The Schlosshotel Fürstenhof (Fürstenhof Castle Hotel), which offers a magnificent panorama over the whole Kurpark, is also highly impressive. From this building, King Ludwig I ruled his Kingdom of Bavaria during his visits to Bad Brückenau.
